UGA Family and Consumer Sciences can trace its origins back to February 1918, when a Bachelor of Science degree was made available to women and the home economics program was designated a division within the College of Agriculture.
Upon the occasion of our 100th birthday, we determined to identify 100 individuals who have brought strength, conviction and commitment to the ideals of the profession and through vision and hard work, helped shape our programs, advance our ability to serve students, and enriched lives through our mission at UGA.
Please join us for a celebratory evening honoring the FACS 100 honorees, the rich history and exciting future of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
