- If I want to hire a temporary employee do I need Provost approval?
- No, not for temporary employees.
- If I want to hire a temporary do I have to post in iPAWS?
- Not if they are a student. Any other temporary position must be posted in iPAWs regardless of funding source. A background consent form must be submitted with the hiring proposal and they cannot begin work until the background consent and hiring proposal have been approved.
- If I hire a student worker and they are not taking classes during the summer, what do I do? Do I have to post in iPAWS?
- Move them to a temporary hourly position. You do not have to post in iPAWS if they are returning to student worker status in the fall.
