To connect to Hestia click on the Go menu, and select Connect to Server...

In the Server Address: box, type hestia.fcs.uga.edu anc click on Connect

Enter your FACS Novell NDS Name and Password, and click on Connect.

Note: If this is the first time you've tried to login to Hestia, you'll need to click on the Option button, and then check the box Allow Clear Text Password

By default, login sessions are encrypted, but to synchronize the initial login, the Clear Text setting must be set.

Remember to uncheck it after a successfull login.

You will see all the Volumes on Hestia. Select the HESTIA.HOME volume, and click on OK.

The HESTIA.HOME volume will mount on your desktop, and a window will open showing all of the users' Home Directories.

In order to not have to go through this procedure each time, make an Alias of your Home directory by clicking on it, and while holding the Command & Option keys, dragging it to your desktop.

Note: you may want to repeat the above for the HESTIA.DATA and HESTIA.TEMP volumes to access the Departmental and Temporary server areas.
