How do I look up my computer's IP address?

  1. Click on the Start menu and select Run



  2. Type in cmd and click the OK button



  3. After the command line window appears, type in the command ipconfig and hit the Enter key on your keyboard



  4. Your computer's IP address should be returned in the second line of information.  You will need this if you need to access your computer using Remote Desktop Connection



  5. Finally, type the word exit and hit the Enter key on your keyboard to close your command line window
