Ms. Britney C. Vickery, CEO & Founder, Initials, Inc.

Britney C Vickery is the CEO & Founder of Initials, Inc. She brings more than 16 years of professional and executive management experience. A serial entrepreneur, Initials, Inc. represents her strongest accomplishment to date. Ranked No. 762 on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing privately held companies for 2013 - up 793 spots from 2012. Beginning her professional career with a Fortune 100 company in 1997 she later moved into collegiate advancement where she held various positions and truly honed her strategic leadership skills. She later exited corporate America upon the arrival her first child only to found and launch Initials, Inc. from a spare bedroom in her home a year later. A graduate of Valdosta State University, a Georgia University school, with a B.F.A. in Organizational Communications. Vickery is an active member of several organizations such as her church where she serves as the Chair of the Personnel Committee, the North Georgia CEO Forum, Vistage International and Chair of the Direct Selling Association Education Committee.

Dave Merriman, Executive Vice President, ACN

As Executive Vice President for ACN, Inc. Dave Merriman is responsible for Global Sales Support.  Dave originally joined the company in 1995 shortly after its inception as the Chief Financial Officer.  For more than two decades, he has worked alongside the company’s four Co-Founders to promote, maintain and expand ACN’s Business Opportunity.  Among his duties, Dave fosters IBO training and support, while also working to promote and expand ACN's compensation plan.  He helps ensure that ACN and its Independent Business Owners understand and comply with government regulations and affairs. In addition to these important duties, Dave continues to lead the company in its international expansion and support its rapid worldwide growth. Today, ACN is the world’s largest direct seller of telecommunications, energy and essential services for home and business, and the 22nd largest direct selling company in the world overall. ACN markets a complete suite of residential and business services including phone service, energy, High Speed Internet, wireless, satellite TV, security and automation, technical support and payment processing services. ACN operates in 24 countries in North America, Europe, the Pacific, Asia and Latin America.

Karin Mayr, CEO and Founder, Sabika, Inc. 

At the age of 50, Karin Mayr started Sabika from the family kitchen table in a time of financial need for her family. She was determined to build a company that connects women in every community. She focused on creating beautiful, artisan-made jewelry founded in her 20 year experience as a successful trend forecaster. She has since offered opportunities and seen Sabika transform lives. Today, Sabika is sold by women and men through Sabika Parties across the US and brings out the individual beauty of thousands of women.

Konrad Mayr, Special Advisor, Sabika, Inc.

With more than 30 years of marketing experience and a PhD in economics, Konrad brings a wealth of business acumen to Sabika. He has successfully marketed products for a variety of industries: steel, automotive, textile, healthcare, heavy machinery – and now, jewelry. Konrad’s forward thinking approach to I.T. systems and emerging technologies makes him a vital member of senior leadership.

Kimberly Harris Bliton, Director, Academic Initiatives, Direct Selling Education Foundation.

Kimberly works with professors in a variety of disciplines – entrepreneurship, marketing, consumer studies, ethics, business and economics – to support research and deliver multi-faceted programming aimed at contemporary issues facing direct selling companies and consumers in the global marketplace. These initiatives help students and faculty better understand direct selling as an industry, a channel of distribution and a pathway to entrepreneurship. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kimberly executed a global Consumer Education and Protection Initiative (CEPI), endorsed by the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), for the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA).


 

Tamara Ingram, Program Manager, Direct Selling Education Foundation.

Tamara has been with DSEF for more than 18 years. She is responsible for managing the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, meeting logistics, and community outreach programs.
