HDFS features visiting scholar: Mia Smith Bynum

 

The Department of Human Development and Family Science is pleased to sponsor Dr. Mia Anaya Smith-Bynum who will present "A Process-Oriented Approach to Racial Socialization in African American Families," Monday, March 20, 2017 in Dawson Hall Room 216.

Dr. Smith-Bynum is Director of the Black Families Research Group at the University of Maryland, School of Public Health. She is a clinical psychologist by training and an expert in African American mental health, family interaction and communication in ethnic minority families, parenting and racial identity.
