Georgia CYFAR: Building Strong Communities
Serving Children, Youth and Families at Risk
Welcome to the Georgia CYFAR New Communities Project!
The University of Georgia Children, Youth, and Families at Risk (CYFAR)
New Communities Project (NCP) is a five-year initiative that seeks to insure
that children and youth lead positive, secure, and happy young lives while
developing the knowledge and competencies necessary for fulfilling adult
lives.
The Georgia CYFAR Project, a part of a national network of USDA supported
CYFAR efforts, includes two local demonstration sites (Candler County
and Colquitt County), with coordination from the state office of Family
and Consumer Sciences Extension at the University of Georgia in Athens,
Georgia.
