Georgia CYFAR: Building Strong Communities

Welcome to the Georgia CYFAR New Communities Project!

Children and teacher cooking The University of Georgia Children, Youth, and Families at Risk (CYFAR) New Communities Project (NCP) is a five-year initiative that seeks to insure that children and youth lead positive, secure, and happy young lives while developing the knowledge and competencies necessary for fulfilling adult lives.

The Georgia CYFAR Project, a part of a national network of USDA supported CYFAR efforts, includes two local demonstration sites (Candler County and Colquitt County), with coordination from the state office of Family and Consumer Sciences Extension at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.
