- Identify ways the agent can assist in providing diabetes education to the community
Description
Diabetes Academy is a self-paced diabetes education program designed for FACS Extension Agents. The CD-ROM contains basic diabetes information including the following chapters:- What is Diabetes

- Meal Planning Approaches
- Diabetes and Exercise
- Diabetes Medication
- Monitoring Diabetes
- High and Low Blood Glucose
- Diabetes Complications
- Role of the Agent
The Diabetes Academy CD-ROM is available from Connie Crawley at 706-542-3773 or ccrawley@uga.edu. There is no cost to University of Georgia Extension personnel. For non-UGA Extension employees, there is a cost of $15 for the education package that includes the CD and diabetes education materials required for some of the activities.
