Financial Literacy for Youth

U.S. teens have enormous purchasing power but often lack the skills to manage resources well, increasing their chances for financial insecurity in later life. Most teens say they need to know more about financial issues, but the topic is often neglected at home. The incorporation of financial literacy into the Georgia Performance Standards for Economic Understanding means that all Georgia students will learn about money management from kindergarten through 12th grade.
