Financial Literacy for Adults

Faced with rising costs and little or no growth in income, many consumers have relied upon credit and home equity to make ends meet. Access to low-cost credit options is an issue for millions of consumers that have no relationship with a financial institution. These "unbanked" consumers are more vulnerable to financial scams, more likely to use high cost alternatives, such as car title loans, rent-to-own, and check cashing services. When people become educated about financial management, they become empowered to live a better life.
