Welcome to Teaching Basic Health and Safety in the Early Childhood Classroom initiative web site!

This site will introduce you to a hands-on, developmentally appropriate curriculum and training program designed to teach simple health and safety messages to 3- to 5-year-olds in early childhood programs. The curriculum is appropriate for a variety of early childhood settings, including child care, preschools, hospitals, and community-based education programs.

Purpose and Goal

The purpose of the project is to provide early childhood professionals with activities that introduce young children to basic health and safety concepts and practices. The goal is to help children develop a safe and healthy lifestyle.
