Lead Safe Work Practices Course

Did you know that lead poisoning is STILL a problem in Georgia? Lead can cause permanent brain and nerve damage in children. Lead can also cause behavior and learning problems.

  • Most lead poisonings are caused by lead-based paint and lead contaminated dust.
  • Most commonly used remodeling and repair work practices generate a lot of dust.
  • Practical changes in work practices can minimize and contain dust.
  • Minimizing and containing dust saves clean up time... customers value cleaner job sites!

This one-day course is lively and engaging. It identifies root causes of lead problems in a home and links them to lead safety for remodeling, repair, and painting.

By making small, easy changes in your work practices, you can help protect yourself, your customers, and children from lead exposure! Learn how to prevent lead poisoning! This course meets HUD requirements for interim controls / lead safe work practices training.
