The pathway is your first step toward earning a dual degree.

Our "Double Dawgs" dual-degree program options are available to University of Georgia undergraduate students majoring the the Department of Foods and Nutrition. During their sophomore year, interested students should talk to the Pathways Contact and meet with their advisor regarding options. During this stage, students need to be sure they have taken all prerequisite courses required for entrance into the pathway. Students should apply to the pathway by year three, and once admitted, they can being taking graduate level courses.

Requirements to Apply to the Double Dawgs Pathway

  • Student has spoken to their advisor and pathway contact
  • Student has taken CHEM 1211/L and earned grades of C or better
  • Student has taken CHEM 1212/L and earned grades of C or better
  • Student has taken FDNS 2100
  • Student must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Some Double Dawgs programs may have additional requirements. See your Pathway Contact for program specific information.
