Culinary Institute I - for the Department of Education Interests:
Tracey Brigman is a registered and licensed dietitian. Prior to coming to the University of Georgia, she has worked as a clinical dietitian in a small community hospital.
Tracey gained most of her foodservice management experience as the statewide dietitian for the Georgia Department of Corrections. There she was responsible for feeding 34,000+ inmates at over 72 facilities. The Department of Corrections is responsible for providing 80% of its own food supplies. All aspects of food procurement and production were part of her job (from growing the food to packaging it, to making sure it was served properly to the inmates).
After leaving the Department of Corrections, Tracey became the DPD program director at Life University in Marietta, GA. She spent 8 years there teaching a variety of classes as well as maintaining the accreditation status for the dietetics program. Education: | 1992 M.S. Foods and Nutrition UGA
