The University of Georgia in partnership with DrTango.com and the Latin
American Association is pleased to announce the upcoming conference,
¡Salud! Addressing Latino Health Challenges. The conference will
take place July 29-31, 2002 at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education
in Athens, Georgia, as a follow up to last year's conference, The Power
of Latinos for a Stronger Georgia. This year, the conference theme is
health issues. We will focus on the following objectives:
1. Developing cultural competency
2. Learning effective means of communicating with the Latino population
3. Identifying components of effective health programs for Latinos
