Objective 1: Identify
what constitutes a serving of bread
Remind participants
that there is serving size information on (“What Counts as 1 Serving?”)
and (“Sizing Up Portions”)
Explain
that one slice of bread is a serving of bread
Explain
that depending on the size of a bagel, it can be 2-4 bread servings
(one serving would be the size of a hockey puck)
Objective 2: Identify
an appropriate number of servings they should consume from this food group
Explain that
the average person should eat between 6-11 servings from this food group,
but it should be a combination of bread, rice, pasta, and cereal.
Remind participants
that this information is summarized on the (“How Many Servings for You?”)
