The 2017 application phase is closed.

Generally, city governments are asked to take on the responsibility of preparing the application and assuming the role of lead organization during the application process and three year program. Any incorporated municipality in the state of Georgia may apply, excepting municipalities which are not listed as Qualified Local Governments by DCA. In cases where another local government entity (county government or local housing authority) would be more appropriate as the lead organization, that entity may apply with approval of the selection committee. Application instructions include additional details.
