The Georgia Initiative for Community Housing is a partnership of the University of Georgia Housing and Demographics Research Center, the University of Georgia Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and the Georgia Municipal Association. Implementation partners include Georgia EMC and the UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government and the UGA Archway Partnership. The Initiative offers communities in Georgia a three-year program of collaboration and technical assistance in addressing their housing and neighborhood revitalization needs.The Georgia Power Company is the Founding Sponsor of GICH. Other major sponsors of this program are USDA Rural Development, and Wells Fargo.
