The Army Youth Development Project (AYDP), initiated with Army Child, Youth, and School Services (CYSS) support in the mid-1990's, promotes positive child and youth development while strengthening military families.

The current Enhanced Evaluation Study (EES) pivots on two primary areas, one dealing with family dynamics and processes, the other with the role of support programs, in helping youth and families navigate pre-deployment, deployment and reintegration experiences. Along with CYSS-funded support, University of Georgia's Department of Human Development and Family Science has committed the resources of the Department's Family and Community Resilience Laboratory to examine the impact of Army youth and family support programs on Army family resilience.
