Work Experiences: I have worked for a services provider for the last 13 years. I started out as a full-time Direct Support Staff, and then as a Residential Supervisor, a Case Manager, and eventually promoted to Residential Director, until my resignation on June 30, 2010.

It is apparent that my passion is with the people with disabilities and not the traditional services.  I believe that all people should have options and authority to make informed choices on who represents them; and REAL choices of where and with whom to live, to hire and discharge staff, and be full participants in their community.

My accomplishments: I am a Direct Support Professional Graduate, Community Guides Certified Graduate, I hold a SIS (Support Intensity Scale) Certificate, and HRST (Health Risk Screening Tool) Certificate, CPR/1ST Aid and Defensive Driving Instructor.  I am a strong advocate and skilled in using Person-Centered tools.

Lastly, I have positive relationships with the community.  I understand requirements for Medicaid reimbursement with units and rates and I have knowledge of Support Coordinators and their responsibilities.
