Funding is needed to capitalize on the enormous potential our College has to make a positive difference in the lives of Georgia’s families and consumers.

Enriching the Campus and Building the New Learning Environment
Explosive growth in funded research and public service/outreach programs, high demand for undergraduate and graduate programs, and the desire to work at the leading edge in meeting the need for family and consumer sciences expertise are compelling reasons for putting new and renovated space as the top priority for the College. We envision a physical structure that engages students and faculty as a community of learners, as well as reaches out to the publics we serve. Classrooms with state-of-the-art technology; marriage and family therapy, nutrition, and financial counseling clinics; laboratories with glass walls to facilitate students and visitors’ observing the process of discovery; and a climate-controlled environment with conservation and exhibit space for the Historic Costume Collection are included in the design plan.
- New addition to Dawson Hall $20.6 M
- Historic Costume Collection Facilities $1.5 M
Ensuring Annual and Long- Term Unrestricted Support
Sufficient unrestricted funds and a strong endowment are hallmarks of a world-class College. These funds allow a College to have the needed flexibility to support students and deliver the types of alumni programs that our constituents deserve and expect. Unrestricted funds allow us to be optimistic, to weather economic storms, and to invigorate programs across the missions of teaching, research and service.
- Presidents Club annual membership $1K
- Estate Gifts $10K+
