The Child Development Lab programs provide developmentally appropriate programs on a full-day basis for both University and community families with children ages 8 weeks to 5 years and two half-day Head Start programs for children ages 3-5 years. Children with special needs are provided inclusive classroom experiences. The main purposes of the Child Development Lab are::
- To provide educational opportunities for University students through observation and interaction with young children and their families
- To foster research and professional inquiry that makes significant contributions to the field of early childhood education and child development
- To provide quality, developmentally appropriate programming for young children
