Your academic advisor will advise you on how to meet your degree program requirements. Students are required to meet with their academic advisor before they register for classes.
Each student is given an academic advisor based on their major upon entering into the college. A listing of all students and their assigned advisor is listed outside room 210 Dawson Hall. A student must see their assigned advisor and may not choose to meet with any other advisors in their departments.
Steps to Take
- Check on OASIS for your appointment time to register for classes. This time is set by the Registrar’s Office according to the number of hours a student has earned.
- Make an advising appointment before your registration appointment time.
- Your advisor is listed on the worksheet you were given upon entering into FACS. If you do not know who your assigned advisor is, check outside room 210 for a listing.
- Meet with your advisor and make sure to mention any study abroad options, internship ideas, transient courses, or graduation checks that you may wish to discuss.
