CURO UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIPS AWARDED
Twenty-six students applied for the 12 CURO Undergraduate Research assistantships allocated to the college by the Provost. It was a difficult task for the selection committee. The following undergraduates will receive $1,000 stipend through payroll to support their faculty mentored research in the college this academic year:

NEW EXTENSION FACULTY JOINT APPOINTMENTS IN FACS and CAES
Ms. Andrea Scarrow has accepted the position to be the SW District FACS Program Development Coordinator (PDC) starting November 1, 2014, pending the final UGA approvals. Andrea is the current FACS Agent in Colquitt County and has been with UGA Extension for 7 years. She has a Bachelor’s in Divinity and Counseling and a Master’s in Agricultural Leadership from UGA. She has a very broad and balanced FACS program in Colquitt County with many areas of focus. She has particular expertise in managing grant programs and personnel and is bilingual as well!
Ms. Janet Hollingsworth has accepted the position to be the SE District FACS Program Development Coordinator (PDC) starting November 1, 2014, pending the final UGA approvals. Janet is the current County Extension Coordinator for Appling County and has been with UGA Extension for 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Science of Home Economics at the University of Georgia and a Masters of Adult Education from Georgia Southern University.
Ms. Kisha Faulk has accepted the position to be the NW District FACS Program Development Coordinator (PDC) starting November 1, 2014, pending the final UGA approvals. Kisha is the current FACS agent in Fulton County and has been with UGA Extension for 7 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Hampton University and a Masters in Public Administration from Georgia State University.
Ms. Denise Everson has accepted the position to be the NE District FACS Program Development Coordinator (PDC) starting November 1, 2014, pending the final UGA approvals. Denise is the current FACS agent in Clarke and Oconee Counties and has a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Georgia and a Masters of Education from the University of Georgia.
NEW STAFF JOINS DEAN’S OFFICE
Welcome Broc Funke - Administrative Specialist I to the Associate Deans. Broc was working in a temporary position in the Foods and Nutrition Department Office and joined the Dean’s Office on Monday, September 8th. He will support Dr. Silvia Giraudo and Dr. Debbie Murray. Broc has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo, NY and has lived in California for many years.
