More than 100 FACS students were recognized at the annual FACS Donor Scholar Recognition Program on Friday at the UGA Special Collections Library.
The 107 students recognized received scholarships or cash awards for study abroad from 40 scholarships and 12 study abroad award funds.
This year, the college also recognized five new funds and first-time recipients: Logan Upshaw Bentley Memorial Scholarship; Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship; Julia Ann Simpson Elliott Scholarship; Whitlock Family Scholarship; and the Betty Carico Williams International Study Award.
“This is a memorable and heartfelt event,” Dean Linda Kirk Fox said. “We had a wonderful time celebrating our students and donors.”
