2. Announcement: Sustainability in Furnishings and Interiors Exhibit
You are invited to view the exhibit of student sustainability projects in Barrow Hall during the month of September. The exhibit displays how sustainability and environmental issues can be incorporated into the design curriculum, in this case Furnishings and Interiors curriculum.
Dates: September 6-September 20
Location: Barrow Hall, Second Floor Gallery
3. Announcement: Fight Against Youth Obesity Seeking Members
The purpose of Fight Against Youth Obesity (FAYO) is to get youths involved in combating obesity by promoting physical activity and healthy eating habits in a safe and fun environment. Every Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., we do fun activities and programs for the children at the Boys and Girls Club of Athens as well as the students on campus. If you are looking to get more involved on campus or in the Athens community, come to our meeting and learn more about us!
Please join us at our General Body Meeting on Tuesday, September 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Ramsey Student Center, Room 114.

5. Internship Opportunity: FACS Legislative Aide
Experience the excitement of legislation in action while earning up to 12 hours of FACS 5905 credit.
The FACS Legislative Aide program is a spring internship opportunity for all juniors and seniors to intern for a Georgia senator/representative during the Georgia General Assembly session at the Capitol in Atlanta. Interns also act as a guide to fellow FACS students at the college’s annual FACS Day at the Capitol in February.
Complete the application and submit required materials (letter of recommendation, resume) to Sharen Phinney. Once materials are received, an interview will be scheduled with Dean Linda Kirk Fox and the selection committee.
Applications are due by Friday, September 30, 2016.

The Student Financial Planning Association will be meeting on Monday, September 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Georgia Center-University of Georgia Conference Center and Hotel. Please join us for this business etiquette meal.
