St. Mary’s Wellness Center has added registered dietitian and FDN alumna Courtney Vickery to its full-time staff, bringing a complete range of nutrition services to the center’s existing complement of fitness equipment, classes, personal training, and therapeutic massage.
Vickery holds a Master’s degree in foods and nutrition and a gerontology certificate from the University of Georgia. As part of her program at UGA, she completed a dietetic internship that focused on clinical nutrition, nutrition guidelines for school nutrition personnel, and community education about hand washing, food safety and MyPlate meal planning. Vickery is a certified/registered fitness instructor in yoga, aerobics, RIPPED, TRX Rip, Schwinn Cycling, Les Mills Body Combat and Tapless Step. She is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR/AED, first aid, and CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
