 Vibha Bhargava, Adjunct Faculty in Financial Planning, Housing and Consumer Economics, and Jung Sun Lee, Associate Professor in Foods and Nutrition, have been researching an understudied topic, food insecurity and depression.  In an FHCE Seminar on November 12th, Dr. Bhargava described how they used the National Health Interview Survey to investigate the relationships between food insecurity and depression, health, chronic conditions, and lack of insurance coverage.
