Athens, Ga. - UGA ENACTUS, an entrepreneurial-focused student organization, hosted the “Rock the Runway” event on March 22.
The event included outdoor music from three local bands and two runway walks by The Agency, a UGA student modeling organization.
Proceeds from the event benefitted two local charities, Charity Water and Athens Homeless Help Cards, as well as Suska, a consignment store and small business project partner of Enactus.
“Rock the Runway was an innovative event that combined raising money for two charities, publicity for a locally-owned small business, exposure for local musicians and opportunities for UGA students to showcase their talents,” said UGA Enactus advisor Dr. Sheri Worthy, the FHCE department head within the College of Family and Consumer Sciences
The goal of Enactus is to bring together future business leaders to create a better and more sustainable world.
The group’s next meeting is April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in 312 Dawson Hall. For more information, check out the group’s website at
