The University of Georgia is preparing to host an event focused on fighting hunger and reducing food waste.
The Campus Kitchens Project and the Food Recovery Network are scheduled to hold a summit at UGA April 18 and 19 at the Zell B. Miller Learning Center.
Organizers say the event features students and experts from public health, nonprofit management, social justice and other fields discussing the relationship between food shortages and food waste.
