Research focuses sexuality and couple relationships as well as the intersection of race, class, gender on the expression of intimacy in close romantic relationships. 


Courses taught at UGA include HDFS 2100: Family Development Across the Lifespan and HDFS 4870: Human Sexuality Across the Lifespan. 

Other courses taught include clinical practicum and supervision at Mercer University School of Medicine which included teaching and supervising masters in marriage and family therapy students.


Outreached includes a 6-week course taught to older adults at a residential independent living facility where issues of sexuality were discussed and topics such as safety, consent, stigma, and aging and body image were discussed.
