As Dean of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences I have the pleasure, as well as the responsibility, of serving as the leader of the fourth largest undergraduate college at the University of Georgia.
To ensure that I stay in touch with our undergraduates, I co-teach the FACS 2000 class each semester. This class is required for all FACS undergraduates and serves as an introduction to both the history of family and consumer sciences and to the possibilities it holds for students’ futures. In addition, I also serve as the advisor to the FACS Ambassadors, a leadership program for undergraduates. FACS Ambassadors have the opportunity to meet with alumni, serve as hosts for FACS events, and to attend special leadership forums.
If you’re interested in a career in family and consumer sciences, I hope you’ll thoroughly explore this website and contact us with your questions.
Sincerely,
Sharon Y. Nickols
