Description of program: This seven day trip to New York City will provide a new understanding of the fashion business as it relates to both Furnishing and Interior majors and Merchandising majors. We will have structured visits with corporate offices, showrooms, and studios during the day followed by educational free time each evening. The structured visits will aid in your professional development as well as help to conceptualize your future career. This is a great way to establish your network of contacts for possible internship opportunities, and to understand what career path is best for you. Included in the tour price is 12 corporate visits, transportation (airfare, airport transfers, unlimited subway), 6 night stay at the Wellington Hotel, and a Broadway play. You will have 1 ½ days of free time to experience NYC on your own.

- Meet with industry leaders in their own creative environments to discuss the nature of the industry, their company success, and possible career options
- Gain a broader knowledge of where trends originate and why NYC is the capital of design
- Experience the culture, history and society of NYC
