Unlike some sub chains that buy prepackaged meat, Blimplie slices the high quality stuff right in front of you while your sub sandwich is being made. Good value meal for what you get. Bonus: They don't call their employees Sandwich Artists.

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. IHOP menus are the same nationwide, but the service in Athens ranks among the top (and I've been to a lot of IHOPs). They also serve breakfast 24 hours a day. I have a weird habit of eating the same thing ten times in a row, and then ordering something different for the next ten times. Among my favorites are the Five Star Breakfast, Pork Chops and Eggs, Pumpkin Pie Pancakes (only at Thanksgiving), and French Toast. Expect to be put on a waiting list on Saturday and Sunday morning to mid-afternoon.

Three words. Yummy, yummy, YUMMY! Try the Bloomin Onion as an appetizer. The Outback Special, Victorian Filet, and Prime Rib are very tasty for entrees. The Caeser salad with anchovies (you have to ask for those) is the best house salad I've ever had anywhere. The only bad thing about the Outback Steakhouse is that they're are always packed and don't take reservations. If you get there at 5 p.m., you'll probably be seated immediately.
