2018 FACS Leadership Retreat

 

The purpose of the FACS Leadership Retreat is to increase engagement and foster relationships through networking opportunties between FACS leadership positions and to purposefully and intentionally set goals that support the mission of FACS and the University. This event is by invitation only

Date: August 24-25
Location: University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel
Time: Please plan to arrive at the Georgia Center no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, August 24 for registration and photos.

Hotel Information

Alumni Association Board of Directors, Staff and Faculty Only

  • Accommodations will be provided for Board of Directors and Faculty traveling to Athens for the Leadership Retreat. Please email Carol Halstead with your name and affiliation (Alumni Board or Faculty) no later than Friday, July 13 to reserve your room. 
  • Note: Accommodations cannot be guaranteed after the reservation deadline. 

Parking Information

Georgia Center Hotel Guests Only (Applicable for Alumni Association Board of Directors, Staff and Faculty)

  • Complimentary parking is available at the Georgia Center for guests.

Non-Georgia Center Hotel Guests Students, Alumni Association Board of Directors and Faculty

  • If you are not staying at the Georgia Center, parking is available in South Campus surface lots beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, August 24.

Photos / Social Media

Group photos and individual headshots will be taken on Friday, August 24. Please arrive no later than 5 p.m. to ensure you do not miss the group photos! Be sure to tag FACS in your photos throughout the weekend using #FACS100 and #FACS18!

  • A sweater or jacket – Georgia Center temperatures may be cold

  • Pen and Notebook

FAQ

What do I need to wear?
The dress code is casual / business casual. Group photos and headshots will be taken on Friday. A photographer may be taking photos during the Friday and Saturday sessions.

Who will be there?
FACS Administrators, Alumni Association Board of Directors, faculty, staff and student leaders. Come prepared to network!

Please refer to the section below titled “Contact Information”. There you will find a student contact, a staff/faculty contact and an alumni association contact. If you are unsure who to direct your question to, feel free to reach out to anyone below.

What activities should I expect?
The retreat will provide opportunities for networking, small/large group planning, and socializing. Be prepared to have fun and make connections! A full agenda will be provided to you in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
