Why do you choose to be involved as a FACS Ambassador?

I chose to be involved as a FACS Ambassador in order to be a resource for incoming freshmen, transfer students, or any student interested in FACS. As a freshman, I had no idea what career I wanted to pursue so I had an even harder time deciding on a major. Had I met a FACS Ambassador, I think I would have been given all the information I needed to make those decisions much more quickly!

What is your most memorable experience at UGA?

I love football so my most memorable experience is the 2013 LSU game. The #6 ranked tigers came to Athens to take on the #9 ranked Dawgs. Plus, ESPN’s College Gameday also came to town so that everything that much more exciting. We held on to beat LSU 44-41 in a thrilling game.

What advice would you give to a student thinking about changing their major to FACS?

Go for it! The classes you take as a FACS student will not only prepare you for your career, but they will equip you with information you will be able to apply to many  situations for the rest of your life. Plus, FACS is an incredible college. If you have any questions, just visit the Student Success and Advising Center or your professor’s office hours and I know they’ll be available and happy to help.
