What is your fondest memory of your time spent in the college?

My fondest memories from college were traveling to away football games with my best friends.

How did FACS prepare you for your career?

FACS prepared me for my current role as a PhD student in nutrition science by offering a wide variety of experiences that made me well-rounded and skilled at critical thinking and communication. I would not be in such a prestigious program without the mentorship of Dr. Lewis, under whom I did my undergraduate and master’s research.

Why do you give to FACS/UGA?

I give to FACS/UGA because I had wonderful experiences in FACS and have fond memories of my time there. I hope my donation can benefit current and future students so that they may have the same opportunities I had.

What is the best advice you can share with current FACS students?

My advice for current students is to take advantage of all the opportunities FACS has to offer, especially those directly related to your major. I also recommend making true connections with your professors and find someone you can call a mentor. Their advice and professional connections could play a big role in shaping your future.
