Why I chose my major

At a young age, I knew I was drawn to food science and helping people in the healthcare field. I came into UGA as a biology major on the pre-med track because I knew I wanted to work with patients. However, I thought going to medical school was the only way to do so until I learned about dietetics my sophomore year. After switching my major and joining FACS, I realized dietetics combined all of my elements of interest: nutrition and helping patients in the healthcare scope.

What I like most about FACS

I love how many various majors are within FACS, yet how close and involved the college keeps its students. FACS has given me opportunities of growth and development, and the professors within the college truly strive to provide the best education and resources for their students to help them prosper in their future careers.

Post-graduation plans

I am searching for work opportunities after graduation, and I eventually plan on applying to dietetic internships in Atlanta so I can work towards becoming a Registered Dietitian, followed by a MPH.
