I grew up in Americus, Ga., and moved soon after completing high school.  When I decided to start a family of my own, I realized how important it was to me that my children have a close relationship with our family so 10+ years later I moved back home.  My husband Travis and I have three wonderful children, Lilly (13), Eli (11) and Cooper (2).

How long have you been working with Extension?

I have been with Extension for three years.

What originally attracted you to Extension work and what would you say is the best part of the job?

I’ve always believed it’s important to be actively involved in my community and that one person can make a difference. Extension gives me the opportunity to focus on working with my county and its members to really make a difference in the lives of families and children.

Any favorite books or movies?

I love British humor so two movies instantly come to mind, Billy Elliot and Waking Ned Devine

What has been your proudest moment as an Extension agent?

It’s a wonderful feeling when someone tells me how much they enjoyed my class and that it made a difference in their life.

What are some of your hobbies or favorite activities outside of work?

I’m very busy keeping up with three very active children! If I get a moment to myself, I love to work outside in my flower garden.

If you weren’t an Extension agent, what other line of work do you think you would have pursued?

Family Counselor
