Why did you choose your major?

I’ve always wanted to be a healthcare professional since I can remember because I love helping people. Up until sophomore year of college, I still hadn’t found my passion in a specific area until taking the introductory nutrition course FDNS 2100 here at UGA. I loved how nutrition applies in everyone’s lives. Health is extremely important, without one’s health, everything else is obsolete.

What do you like most about FACS?

I’ve enjoyed meeting great people in my major and other majors within FACS. Having the same professors teaching multiple courses has allowed me to develop relationships with them that are deeper than professors I’ve only had once. I was also given a great opportunity to do my dietetic practicum at St. Mary’s Hospital here in Athens that has greatly impacted my interest in clinical nutrition.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Starting in August, I will be completing my Dietetic Internship at Augusta University focusing on clinical nutrition.
