Economic instability is a source of stress for many families. This stress impacts couple and co-parenting relationships as well as children. We are helping families build and manage financial resources effectively so that they can make progress toward lasting economic stability.
Our Financial Support Services
Free 6-hour Discovering Money Solutions program. During this 3-week series, parents learn information related to optimal use of financial institutions, spending, savings, investing plans, building or repairing credit, managing debt, and financial goal setting. Must complete the Elevate or Together We Can program series to be eligible.
Free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. Each tax season (February – April), we will be offering parents free federal tax preparation and filing assistance along with information on child-related tax credits and other tax savings options. Must complete the Elevate or Together We Can program series and participate in the research to be eligible.
Support completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms. Our financial coaches can help make your educational goals a reality. This service is provided during the federal tax preparation and filing class.
Connecting families to local financial services, resources, and job skills training. Our Project F.R.E.E. Navigators and Financial Coaches will help connect you to local resources that meet your family’s needs.
