Our graduates are pursuing many rewarding careers. Take a look at what some of them are doing now (from left to right in the photo):

  • Katie Porter Starr, PhD, RD completed her dietetic internship and master’s and doctoral degrees at UGA and is completing an NIH Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Aging at Duke University Medical Center
  • Lauren Badger, MS, RD completed her dietetic internship and master’s degree at UGA and is a SNAP-Ed Program Specialist with the Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family and Children Services
  • Mary Grider remains a wonderful colleague with our graduate students and continues her work at Senior Centers in Northeast Georgia
  • Dawn Penn Brewer, PhD, RD completed her doctoral degree at UGA and is an Assistant Professor and the Didactic Program Director, Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition, University of Kentucky
  • Elizabeth O’Shea Kindamo, MS, RD completed her master’s degree at UGA and her dietetic internship at Winthrop University, and is a Clinical Dietitian at Athens Regional Medical Center
  • Britt Rotberg, MS, RD completed her dietetic internship and master’s degree at UGA and is a Senior Program Coordinator and Diabetes Educator at Emory University School of Medicine
  • Ben Gray, MS, RD completed his dietetic internship and master’s degree at UGA and is a Nutrition Education Coordinator at UGA’s University Health Center
  • Heather Hamner, PhD, MS, MPH completed her doctoral degree at UGA and is a Health Scientist, National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
