Inaugural 3-Minute Research competition provides students unique opportunity
The College of Family and Consumer Sciences hosted the inaugural 3MR (3-Minute Research) competition on Friday, March 20.
The event provided FACS graduate students the opportunity to present their research clearly and effectively to a non-specialist audience in three minutes using just a single slide.
Human development and family science student Katie Harmeyer was the overall winner. Nutritional sciences student Lauren Suiter was the runner-up and HDFS student Tracy Cui received the People's Choice Award.

Nic Laconico, UGA Director of Industry and Foundation Initiatives, served as master of ceremonies.
