The West Broad Farmer's Market (WBFM) is seeking volunteers!
WBFM is a community-driven, education-oriented, weekly farmers market that supports local economic development & community wellness. As a part of our mission to further nutrition and wellness education within our community, we offer free educational programming for children each Saturday. These activities are typically interactive, learning-focused, and relate to some aspect of agriculture, sustainability, or nutrition. We are looking for students that love working with kiddos and have a particular interest in agriculture & local food systems to lead a weekly activity. Students would only be committing to one weekend at a time, although they are welcome to volunteer on multiple Saturdays. The activity begins each Saturday at 11am and concludes at 1pm.The volunteer may create their own activity (although it would need to be approved), or we can provide an activity for them.
Any interested students should email Kaela at firstname.lastname@example.org.
More information about the WBFM can be found here.
