I am the Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education Program Coordinator for Cluster I. I serve the counties of Clarke, Elbert, Madison, Oconee and Oglethorpe with my home office located at the Oconee County Extension Office.
Prior to my current position at UGA, I worked as a special education teacher in the public sector for 14 years serving the counties of Clarke, Tift and Turner. My experience includes teaching children with disabilities as well as helping to guide, direct and support their families in the educational system. Prior to teaching, I was a Coordinator for 5 years with a non-profit organization, Hospice of Tift Area, a department of Tift Regional Medical Center. I had the privilege of working with families and patients while assisting them in obtaining resources needed for end of life care.
As the HMRE Program Coordinator, I will be facilitating partnerships with local agencies, coordinating and monitoring the HMRE services and supervising the local programming staff.
