IHDD offers evidence-based technical assistance to the agencies that provide supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. From assistive technology training to program evaluation, we provide valuable services to developmental disability service agencies in order to enhance the health, safety and quality of life of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We offer customized development, evaluation and consultation to ensure that client service agencies offer the most effective programs and services.
We offer a wide variety of workshops and webinars on low cost assistive technology that offer board credits for occupational and physical therapists. In addition continuing education credits are offered through the University of Georgia.
We offer agency training and technical assistance that is rooted in Georgia specific systems. Professionals can join our Community of Practice and as a member can participate in a wide variety of employment webinars. In addition we provide one-on-one employment transition services for families.
