What an incredible event! This year’s symposium was our BIGGEST yet, with over 140 people attending in person and 103 people registered for the online event!
Centered around the theme “We Make It Happen: Mutual Aid as a Call to Action,” we came together to celebrate the power of community, collaboration, and collective action in advancing disability history, inclusion, and advocacy. A huge THANK YOU to our keynote speakers, Tim Vogt and Jan Goings from Starfire Council in Cincinnati, and to all the amazing panelists and presenters who shared their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. We were especially proud to hear from Georgians of all ages and backgrounds—both young and seasoned leaders—who have made and continue to make a meaningful impact across our state.
To everyone who attended in person, joined us online, presented, volunteered, or helped make this event possible: thank you for making this year’s symposium such a success! And just like that… the countdown to next year’s symposium begins!
As we look ahead to future symposiums, we’d love to hear your feedback. Your input helps us understand what worked well and where we can improve the experience for both in-person and virtual participants.
