It’s Georgia Giving Week, FACS Dawgs!
That’s one week to help students, transform communities, and change lives. We’re calling on each and every one of you. Together, we can secure the future for FACS, and continue to advance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities in Georgia and across the country.
You can give all week, but Wednesday, April 21 is FACS Giving Day, our chance to show what FACS Dawgs can really do! Our goal is 50 gifts to the Bulldog Basics Support Fund or the Dean Linda Kirk Fox Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Together, we can ensure the College of Family & Consumer Sciences can continue to provide for the basic needs of the UGA community and award deserving students with scholarships that can help keep their education on track.
With fantastic Bulldog gifts and multiple matching opportunities, now is the perfect time to maximize your impact and bark your loudest.
What: Calling All FACS Dawgs – Georgia Giving Week
When: Saturday, April 17 – Friday, April 23; special FACS Giving Day: Wednesday, April 21
What counts: Any amount. Any donor.
Who: All alumni and friends are encouraged to participate.

Incentives and Matching Opportunities
Dean's Challenge
- Dean Fox will match donations from $50 - $1,000 to the Dean Linda Kirk Fox Scholarship for Academic Excellence.
All Donors
- Receive vintage UGA embroidered patches
- Receive a 20 percent discount at the UGA Bookstore
- Use #callingalldawgs on Twitter or Instagram to be entered for a chance to win some cool UGA prizes courtesy of the UGA Bookstore
Been meaning to make a gift this fiscal year, but just haven’t gotten around to it?
- Individuals who haven’t given to UGA since July 1, 2020 have their gift (up to $1,000) matched by the UGA Foundation to a total of $35,000
Young Alumni
- If you graduated 2011-2020, the UGA Foundation will match your gift (up to $1,000) to a total of $35,000
Philanthropist for a Day
- Each day from Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 23, two Giving Week donors will be randomly selected to decide what area on campus will receive $1,000 from the University of Georgia Foundation. To be eligible, donors must submit at least one social media handle when making their gift.
DEI Challenge
- 100 gifts made during Giving Week to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts on campus will unlock a $10,000 grant from the University of Georgia Foundation to the Black Alumni Scholarship Fund
