CHDD is a founding member of the Georgia Disability History Alliance (GDHA), a partnership dedicated to preserving Georgia’s disability history. In collaboration with the UGA Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies, which houses the state’s disability history collection, GDHA promotes public awareness of the disability rights movement through its annual Disability History Symposium at the University of Georgia, celebrating the contributions and experiences of people with disabilities.
