Anderson receives service award from African Studies Institute

Alex Anderson, a professor in the department of nutritional sciences, has received the Lioba Moshi Award for Service in African Studies.
The award is presented by the UGA African Studies Institute in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences for continued service to the field of African Studies.
A native of Ghana, Anderson established a summer service-learning practicum in his home country in 2008 for students interested in the medical field.
